Type of Personal Data Processed

We process only the personal data that is necessary for booking and carrying out your stay. This includes, in particular,

  • the legally required information for the guest registration form in accordance with the German Federal Registration Act (Bundesmeldegesetz – BMG):
    • From the booking guest, for contract execution, payment processing, and communication: first and last name, email address, telephone number, home address, date of birth, official identification document (identity card or passport), and, if a parking space is used, the vehicle registration number.
    • From all accompanying guests: first and last name, date of birth.
  • Booking details: travel dates, number of guests, relationship to accompanying minors, and payment information.


Purpose of Data Processing

Your personal data is processed for the following purposes:

  • Processing and confirming your booking
  • Communication before, during, and after your stay
  • Creation of the guest registration form (legal obligation)
  • Billing and payment processing
  • Fulfilment of our obligations as hosts
  • Protection of the accommodation in cases of misuse or damage
  • Occasional marketing and promotional purposes within existing customer relationships, unless you object

Legal basis for processing:

We process your personal data on the basis of contract performance, legal obligation, legitimate interest, and – where required – your consent.

The provision of personal data is necessary for concluding the accommodation contract and for carrying out your stay. Without this data, accommodation is not possible.


Disclosure of Data

We only share personal data where this is necessary:

  • with booking platforms such as Airbnb or Booking.com
  • with public authorities (e.g. local municipality for guest registration)
  • with police or insurance companies in the event of damage, endangerment, or unlawful behaviour

Personal data is not shared for advertising purposes.


Data Retention Period

We store personal data only for as long as required by law or necessary for booking administration:

  • Contact or communication data: up to 24 months
  • Guest registration forms: 1 year (legal requirement)
  • Booking and accounting records: up to 10 years (tax law requirements)

Data stored by third-party providers such as Airbnb or Booking.com is subject to the respective privacy policies of those platforms.


Your Rights under the GDPR

You have the right at any time to:

  • request access to your personal data
  • request correction of inaccurate data
  • request deletion of your data (where no legal retention obligation applies)
  • request restriction of processing
  • object to data processing
  • request data portability
